Konstantin Zhukov, Ph.D.

My name is Konstantin Zhukov. I graduated with a Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University in 2023 where I was a Fellow in the F.A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. After grad school, I spent one year in Texas, as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Trinity University. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Indiana University Kokomo.

I am interested in development economics, transition economies, and economic sociology. During my studies at George Mason, I have been able to productively pursue these interests, and as a result, have published a co-authored paper on the morality of illicit markets in Soviet and post-Soviet Russia, and a co-authored book on Poland's transition. The second manuscript on the transition of Estonia from a Soviet-style economy was published in December 2023. My current research project investigates the political economy of the Russian government war propaganda.

This website includes my current CV,  the list of published and ongoing projects and papers, and my teaching history. If you have any questions or would like to chat about anything, please feel free to send me an email that you can find on my CV.
